Anxiety is a state marked by inner turmoil and persistent worry. Feeling anxious is a normal feeling that everyone experiences at some time or another. Anxiety disorders can be so overwhelming that it interferes with one’s ability to function. Anxiety disorders involve more than a temporary state of fear or worry. Instead when one has an anxiety disorder the feelings get worse over time.

Below are serval types of Anxiety Disorder and disorders marked by extreme anxiety that Revive Wellness specializes in treating:

Agoraphobia

Fear and avoidance of places or situations that cause you to feel trapped or helpless.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Includes persistent worry and the inability to feel relaxed. Symptoms include but are not limited to feelings restless, poor decision making, poor concentration, loss of interest in activates that were once pleasurable, change in appetite, change in sleep patterns, loss of energy, reoccurring thoughts and gastro-intestinal distress.

Hypochondria

Having anxiety and fear about one’s health to an extreme, with concern that one has an unwanted illness or condition.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Reoccurring thoughts and fears that one cannot control (obsessions) which produce anxiety so severe that one engages in compulsive behavior in an attempt to extinguish the obsessive thoughts.

Panic Disorder

Recurrent panic attacks that are marked by intense fear. This may include heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, sweating, shaking, and feelings of impending doom.

Social Anxiety

Fear of being judged, rejected, or embarrassed when in a social setting.
